Our client, a commercial architectural firm in Florida, is looking to add an Architect/Project Manager to their Orlando team. The salary is between $90k – $120, depending on experience plus a competitive vacation and benefits package.
ROLE OBJECTIVE: As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and execution of architectural projects, ensuring alignment with client goals, design intent, technical excellence, and business objectives. You will oversee one or more projects of varying scale and complexity, collaborating closely with internal teams and external consultants to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
In addition to project leadership, this role provides technical oversight across multiple project teams, supporting quality assurance, construction methodology, and technical excellence throughout the project life cycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Leadership & Delivery
Lead the day-to-day execution of one or more architectural projects through all phases of design, construction documentation, contract administration, and closeout.
Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, work plans, and resource allocations.
Monitor project performance to ensure projects remain on scope, schedule, and budget, making proactive adjustments as required.
Track project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and consultant coordination.
Ensure project documentation, communications, and deliverables meet established quality standards.
Lead project meetings, establish agendas, and communicate project priorities and action items.
Support proposal development and work planning in collaboration with senior leadership.
Technical Leadership & Quality Assurance
Lead technical production and documentation across assigned projects, ensuring consistency, constructability, and adherence to firm standards.
Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) reviews of architectural drawings and technical documentation to ensure accuracy, code compliance, constructability, and alignment with design intent across all brands.
Provide technical leadership and guidance on construction methodology, detailing, interdisciplinary coordination, and industry best practices.
Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and collaborate with project teams and consultants to develop practical, coordinated solutions.
Support multiple project teams concurrently by providing proactive technical oversight and assisting Project Managers with technical resource planning and delivery strategies for Quebec projects.
Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, permitting processes, and professional practice standards, including the review and coordination of consultant documentation.

Client Engagement & Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout project delivery.
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
Communicate project updates, risks, and mitigation strategies proactively.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, assigning responsibilities and monitoring workflow.
Mentor Project Coordinators, Architectural Technologists, and junior staff by providing technical guidance and coaching.
Monitor project progress and provide regular feedback to support team performance.
Identify technical skill gaps and recommend development opportunities.
Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across project teams.
Support workload planning and resource coordination
Financial & Risk Management
Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocations.
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with contracts, client requirements, internal processes, and professional standards.
Escalate project issues proactively while recommending practical solutions.
Process & Quality Improvement
Lead initiatives that improve documentation workflows, reduce rework, and enhance coordination between teams.
Conduct post-project technical reviews and document lessons learned.
Support the development and continuous improvement of firm-wide QA/QC standards and processes.
Promote consistency in drawing production, documentation standards, and project delivery methodologies.
Recommend improvements based on industry best practices and project experience. TIME ALLOCATION

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Architecture
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM technologies, and architectural detailing
Knowledge of U.S. Building Codes and regulations.
Thorough understanding of construction methodologies and contract administration.
Knowledge of structural, mechanical, electrical, and architectural coordination.
Ability to produce and review high-quality technical drawings and documents
