Our client, an award-winning international design firm located in Toronto is seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer to join their team. The position is paying $60-$75k depending on experience, plus benefits and many other perks!
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in multi-family residential, hospitality and/or retail design
- Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design
- Strong knowledge of the design process (FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, colour and materials)
- Knowledge of OBC
- Proficient with AutoCad, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite
- Revit & VC-Ray an asset
- Experience with large-scale projects
- Strong technical design abilities
- Strong communication skills
- Adept at multi-tasking with exceptional organizational abilities
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with team to establish scope of work
- Brainstorm with team to develop concepts, themes and ideas
- Attends client presentation meetings
- Prepare conceptual drawings
- Delegates work to junior designers
- Coordinates and develops: demolition, construction, RCP, flooring, fixtures, furniture, finishes, power and communication plans, elevations and millwork details,
- Ensures all drawings meet building code requirements
- Assist with the tendering process (act as liaison between the office and contractors, consultants and client
- Reviews bid documents with senior staff
- Conducts site walks throughs and manages deficiencies
