Our client, a multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm, is seeking an Intermediate Land Development Engineer to join their growing team in Ottawa. This is a permanent, full-time, hybrid role (2x per week in office), with a salary range of 90-115k depending on experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the design and analysis of site development and municipal infrastructure projects from conceptual design through to construction approval.
- Prepare engineering reports, technical studies, and stormwater management reports in accordance with local guidelines.
- Design calculations as they relate to Servicing and Stormwater management.
- Ensure projects align with City of Ottawa, MECP, and other relevant design standards depending on project location.
- Collaborate with designers and drafters to deliver high-quality civil engineering designs.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Liaise with clients, municipalities, other engineering disciplines and regulatory agencies throughout the project.
- Support the preparation of engineering drawings, ECA submissions, cost estimates and reports to support site development.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 4+ years of local experience in site development and municipal infrastructure projects (Ottawa region preferred).
- P.Eng. designation in Ontario.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario design standards, stormwater management principles, municipal servicing, and grading design.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and PCSWMM
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills for report preparation and client interactions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
