Our client, a consulting engineering firm with expertise in infrastructure development, is looking to add a Project Coordinator to their growing team in Brampton/Woodbridge. This is a permanent, full-time position, with a salary range of $75-100k, or more, depending on experience, including a competitive benefits and vacation package. The right candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience supervising and inspecting land development and municipal infrastructure projects, especially residential and commercial subdivisions.
Job Function:
Undertake site inspection/project coordination duties to ensure the contractor is completing the contract works as per Municipal specifications and Issued for Construction drawings.
Responsibilities:
1. Undertake site inspection duties for various aspects of construction including earthworks, roads and sewers.
2. Assist in the preparation of contract documents and drawings.
3. Communicate with other Project Site Inspectors and Construction Administrator or Project Manager.
4. Set up, facilitate and participate in project meetings.
5. Prepare meeting notes and project memorandums.
6. Review and process contract extra work claims.
7. Prepare and process monthly progress estimates.
8. Liaise with clients, contractors, and the public as required. 9. Adhere to all site safety requirements and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Civil Tech diploma OR an undergraduate degree in Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.
2. Superior English communication skills both oral and written.
3. Contract administrative experience is a strong asset.
4. Must have a valid class G driver’s license and his/her own vehicle for transportation between office and assigned work site.
5. Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
